Centennial

St. Francis Last Sunday our church celebrated it's centennial.  It was such a beautiful service and I couldn't help but think of how many people the church has served over those years.  Weddings, baptisms, funerals and anniversaries.   A church attracts people in their times of need and over 100 years there have been thousands of people who've crossed that threshold looking for solace and peace.

Arnold and I have gone to St. Francis for over seven years and during that time we've celebrated so many moments of joy and found solace in the difficult days.  Over the past year we've been praying for our future child and last weekend I ended up sitting next to an adorable little six year old boy who had come to church with his obviously proud Grandma.  As I held his tiny little hand during the Lord's prayer I couldn't help but think of how amazing it will be to bring our little ones to church.  To hold their little hands and teach them how much God loves them.  And to be the seedlings that start the next 100 years.
