Sade and I have been arranging man dates for Arnold and Hernan and really, it couldn't be going better! It is a bromance made in heaven, they are both around the same age and from Sudaca. That means they can go watch action movies all they want and blab about them in spanish. They are also on the same eating schedule of needing food every two hours. Sade and I can save money, avoid a movie and eat ice cream with our saved pennies. Win-win! Last week Sade and I were sitting around eating our ice cream and waiting for them to get back from the movies when Hernan called to check in and this is what I heard.
Sade: Was the movie good? Where are you? Oh, you're eating? What are you eating. Man food! What's man food? No, seriously what's man food. Oh, okay, see you soon.
I cannot stand mysteries so I started in immediately "Sade, Sade, Sade, what is man food?"
She turned to me and said "He wouldn't say." I looked at her with a furrowed brow. Accidentally falling into a vat of barbecued ribs is right up Arnold and Hernan's alley.
Thus started the speculation. Was man food: Chili? Hamburgers? Something with a side of hearty potatoes.
When they finally arrived home I put on my best wifey smile and asked Arnold quite sweetly "Honey, what is man food?"
He said "Panda express."
